Papers include notes, depositions and other legal material from a lawsuit in the district court of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The suit was filed by Francis Bailey and his wife Abina Woods and Thomas Jones over the ownership of property across the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh, now the South Side. Of note are the depositions discussing the acquisition of real estate and the constructions of buildings in Pittsburgh during the first years of the 19th Century.
